When writing a nonfiction book for the first time, many new authors think they’re supposed to include everything they know about the topic.

But actually, when writing a nonfiction book, you DON’T want to include every single thing you know about the subject. There are a couple of reasons for this.

First, if you’re any kind of expert at all on your subject – and you should be if you’re even thinking about writing your own book – then you probably know WAY more about the topic than you think you do. As you start writing your book, if you even TRY to include everything you know about your topic, you’ll keep adding and adding, and adding material until you end up with a book that is so lenghty – and will be so expensive and, gosh, so darned heavy – that no one will want to buy it. You’ll also probably NEVER feel satisfied that you’ve included everything readers need to know, so you won’t ever finish your book.

Another reason you shouldn’t even try to include all the information you know about your topic in just one book is because you want to be able to create additional products to sell to your readers. These other products might include courses or training programs, other books, e-books, seminars, etc.

Think of your first book as giving readers plenty of information. But it should also leave them wanting to learn more from you.

*******************

Start writing your book NOW and have it finished and ready to sell by Christmas. Click here to find out how now!
