Wow! It’s November already. And this month is a GREAT month for writers!

First, the entire month is National Novel Writing Month, so sign up to write your very own novel within the next 30 days at www.nanowrimo.org and start cranking out the words today and every day for a whole month! Throughout the month you can get together with other writers in your region at local coffee shops, libraries, etc. and just write, write, write!

Next, to start the month off, today is National Author’s Day AND National Family Literacy Day!

Celebrate the day with a visit to your local bookstore and/or library. You just may discover that some special events are taking place to celebrate the day. Read YOUR favorite children’s book to your favorite child or children. It just might become their favorite book, too!
