As The Working Writer’s Coach, my job is to help struggling (or beginning) freelance writers learn to make a living from their writing.

Many people tend to give up on their dreams just when they are about to take a step that will move them to a new level of success – a level they have never before experienced.

Why do they give up at exactly that moment?

Usually it’s because they’ve reached their own personal “terror barrier.”

For very personal reasons, they’re afraid to take the step that will move them past this barrier.

The step that will totally commit them to their own success.

The step that will mean their self-image will be forever changed because they can no longer think of themselves as an underachiever or a failure, or merely someone who really doesn’t deserve to live the life of his or her dreams.
